Boudoir girls I
The first painting in a planned, small series called "Boudoir girls".
A serie of paintings, where I want to express a mood and show personalities in colorful pastels, without a lot of details.
I work from small thumbnail-sketches that I draw from imagination.
(Colors are difficult to show quite correctly).
Pastel on paper, 30x40 cm.

Cozy cats - sunnygrey cat
I am not good at coming back to unfinished artwork if too long time has passed. And I wanted to finish this, before spending the next month on exhibition artwork.
I had planned to do this in watercolor and colored pencil, but ended up almost exclusivly with watercolors.

Ideas, planning
Well, it should not all be reviews on my blog :) But I am busy, at least at the planning stage.
I still have to get some more work done for the Easter-exhibition. If you are an artist yourself, you will know, that not all you start will be a succes. I spent my monday painting ... for the bin. But thats how it goes sometimes.
I do have some ideas that excites me to get started, and in the middle of that, my sister requests a painting for a special gift - in april ! Oh my, I must try to work 2 pieces at one time now....
I look forward to what will be a collage in acrylics with flatcoated retrievers.
I will post as soon as I have more to show you!

Weekly review
"Arctic wolf" is this weeks review. A pastelpainting where I wanted to really focus in on the wolfs beautiful face.
A white animal is not the easiest to paint, but I think it worked quite well with this.
Original 16 x 34,5 cm.
It is possible to purchase an artprint of this image here

True Red: Dream
I look forward to once again be on Stiplets Easter Exhibition. A bunch of great people, with equal interest are together, hanging all the artwork, before the public enters at Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.
There is a reception with live music and a little to eat on Saturday.
We take turns taking care of the cafe and entrance, chatting with visitors and has a really nice show, hopefully with many guests.
Easter exhibition 2012 has the theme: True red.
My painting of the theme is this, which I call: Dream.
The painting express feelings of the woman: floating / flowing / weightless, in a non-realistic dream world. And since the theme is True Red, there are various red colors in the image.
Acrylic Painting 40 x 80 cm.

Print of Tundra Kingdom
It is now possible to buy prints of my acrylic painting Tundra Kingdom at my Imagekind shop.
Wildlife. and naturelovers will love this beautiful, colorful painting. Distant rough mountains, the wide vista with moskox' and the arctic wolves, creates a wonderful image of the wilderness of the tundra landscape.
